Construction Company Management Software
Every project has a bill of quantities and a cost centre. A progress invoice is entered as cumulative quantities; the system subtracts what was billed before, deducts retention and adds VAT, and every cost lands on its project.

Progress invoices are built in Excel, with errors
You enter the cumulative quantity executed for each item, and the system works out only this period's work since the last invoice, with the value, retention, VAT and net.
Project profit is invisible
Progress invoices, materials issued to site, subcontractor invoices and expenses all post to the project's cost centre, and the project report shows its cost and profit.
Retention is forgotten
Retention held by the client is kept in its own account, as is retention you hold from subcontractors, and you release it with a voucher when it falls due.
Example: the second progress invoice on a building project
The figures follow exactly how the system calculates.
- The project has 5% retention and 14% VAT. The first progress invoice covered EGP 500,000 of work.
- On the second you enter cumulative quantities worth EGP 800,000 of work, so the system bills only EGP 300,000 for the period.
- Retention is EGP 15,000 and VAT EGP 42,000, so the net due from the client is EGP 327,000.
- The entry: debit receivables 327,000 and retention receivable 15,000; credit progress invoice revenue 300,000 and output VAT 42,000.

Frequently asked questions
What if I enter a cumulative quantity lower than last time?
The invoice is refused, because cumulative quantities can't go down.
How are subcontractors billed?
With a subcontractor invoice on the same items at their rate, recorded as project cost and owed to them after retention.
Can I see all projects together?
Yes. The cost centre report shows revenue, expenses and profit for each project side by side.
