Ceramic Showroom Management Software

Tiles are held in stock by the square metre, and a carton is a unit holding, say, 1.44 m². The customer asks for metres, the salesperson sells cartons, and stock goes down by the right area.

Ceramics showroom invoice: porcelain sold by the carton with the quantity worked out in square metres

Customers ask in metres, the store counts cartons

The item's base unit is the square metre with fractions allowed, and the carton is a unit with its factor (1.44 m²). Selling by the carton removes the right area, and reports read in metres.

First and second grade sell at one price

From "selling method" you add options such as first grade, second grade or a shade, each with its own price, barcode and stock. On the invoice the system asks which grade.

Breakage disappears from the books

Broken tiles are recorded as damaged, so they leave stock at cost as a loss, and you know what breakage costs you every month.

Example: a customer needs 25 m² of porcelain

The figures follow exactly how the system calculates.

  1. The item "Porcelain 60×60 matt" sells at EGP 420 per m², and a carton holds 4 tiles = 1.44 m², so a carton is EGP 604.80.
  2. The customer needs 25 m². 25 ÷ 1.44 = 17.4, so the salesperson enters 18 cartons = 25.92 m².
  3. The invoice is EGP 10,886.40, and stock of the first grade the customer chose falls by 25.92 m².
  4. During loading two tiles break, so you record 0.72 m² as damaged; the system removes it at cost and posts the loss.

The modules behind it

How to get started

  1. When signing up, choose "Furniture, carpets and ceramics" so units, warehouses and quotes are switched on.

  2. Create items in square metres with fractions allowed, and add grade options to items you receive in more than one grade.

  3. Add the carton as a unit with its factor (1.44, say) to each item or grade you sell by the carton.

Worth knowing before you subscribe

  • The system does not work out tile quantities from room sizes; you enter the metres needed.
  • There is no link to factory catalogues.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell metres without a full carton?

Yes. Fractions are allowed on the item, so you sell by the metre or by the carton.

Is each tile size its own item?

Yes, because the carton factor differs between sizes. Shade and grade are options inside the item.

I have a showroom and a separate warehouse

Each is a warehouse with its own stock, transfers between them are recorded, and an invoice takes from the warehouse you choose.
