Marble and Glass Shop Management Software

On the invoice you enter the number of pieces, their length and their width. The system works out the square metres, takes them from stock, and prints the sizes under the item for the customer and the workshop.

Marble invoice with count, length and width on each line and the area worked out

Areas are worked out on a calculator, with mistakes

An item sold by length × width shows three fields on the invoice: count, length and width. The quantity is calculated and cannot be typed over.

The customer forgets the agreed sizes

The dimensions are stored with the invoice line and printed under it, so the invoice itself is the work order.

Profiles are sold by the running metre

Aluminium profiles are items with fractions: sell 6.5 m at the metre price and stock falls by 6.5.

Example: marble and glass on one order

The figures follow exactly how the system calculates.

  1. "Galala" marble sells at EGP 950 per m². The customer wants 2 pieces of 2.40 × 0.60: the quantity is 2 × 2.40 × 0.60 = 2.88 m², a line of EGP 2,736.
  2. 6 mm clear glass at EGP 380 per m², 4 pieces of 1.20 × 0.80: 3.84 m², a line of EGP 1,459.20.
  3. An aluminium profile, 6.5 running metres at EGP 210 a metre: EGP 1,365.
  4. The invoice totals EGP 5,560.20, with "2 × 2.40 × 0.60" or "4 × 1.20 × 0.80" printed under each line.

The modules behind it

How to get started

  1. Sign up and choose "General trading", or "Factory" if you also process raw materials.

  2. Create items in metres; under "selling method" choose length × width for slabs and fractions for profiles.

  3. Make your first invoice with sizes and print it.

Worth knowing before you subscribe

  • There is no cutting optimisation, and offcuts are not tracked as separate pieces unless you record them as items.
  • Sizes are in metres; for centimetres enter 0.60 rather than 60.

Frequently asked questions

Can I enter the width in centimetres?

Sizes are in metres so the quantity comes out in square metres, so you enter 0.60 for 60 cm.

How is the area rounded?

The quantity is kept to 3 decimals, such as 1.8 or 2.88, with no rounding up to a whole metre.

Can one item be sold by size sometimes and by piece other times?

An item has one selling method. If you also sell the same thing by the piece, make it a second item.
